Summer Is A Time For Kids, Fun, And Fishing For Bullheads
No CommentsSchools out and kids are scattering everywhere! Some are returning home, but some are heading to the old swimming hole, or to the Bullhead fishing spot. With cane poles in hand, while some pedal bicycles, and while others travel on foot, they scurry their way to the rushing water spilling over the dam. Minnows, the best fishing tackle for Bullheads, are what children will be gathering up this warm summer day. After gathering their bait, children make their way to the streaming water; you can hear the kerplunks of sinkers and bobbers as they hit the water. They are not using fancy poles, they are just poles made of bamboo, without reels. Who needs reels, when a line about 15 feet long will do just as well? Soon, kids are pulling Bullheads from the water left and right, having the time of their life. Fishing from late afternoon till almost dark, the kids come home wet and tired, but with smiles on their faces and a handful of fish.
