Fake Emails Can Create Problems For You
No CommentsI had just returned from my holiday and decided to check my emails. I knew my mailbox will be flooded with mails and some of them would have to be replied as soon as possible. I was checking all the mails when I happened to notice an email from eBay with the heading ebay account suspended. It said that since I had not used my account for more than a year they were suspending my account. It further stated that if I needed to renew my account I should click the link below and enter the details. I clicked the link and immediately I was taken to a place which asked for all my personal details like name, address, credit card number, login name and password. Luckily I had a look at the address bar and found out that the page opened in a site called a ebaay .com. I knew at once that this was a fake email so I checked in another window whether my eBay account was working. I could easily log into my eBay account so I deleted this fake email and thanked god for saving me.
