Why I Enjoy Internet Marketing
No CommentsJust over a year ago, I gave up my job as an IT consultant. It wasn’t a bad job, in fact it was very well paid and had lots of responsibility. However like anything which you’ve done for 20 years, it was getting rather boring. There was also lots of travelling, but not the nice sort, the sort where you’re stuck in some business hotel in an industrial complex on the outskirts of a town or city with nothing to do or see.
But now all I need is an internet connection and a laptop to run my business. Mostly I work from home but I also have the flexibility to travel to a certain extent. There is little to stop me working from any country in the world but here’s a couple of tips if you try and do this. Never use internet cafes or hotel foyer computers for any sensitive work like banking or checking email, they are full of key loggers that steal passwords. Invest in a proxy service which can allow to connect via any country, it’s really useful to bypass blocks you’ll find in many countries and even lets you watch UK TV abroad.
Also plan ahead, you may have the flexibility at work but you’ll never achieve much by constantly grabbing the odd day in between travel. Make a base and stay there for a few weeks at least, pick a milestone to achieve then you can move somewhere new.
